Two operators, two ticketing systems, and no pass that covers both. What you pay depends less on how far you are going than on which of the two networks you have ended up on.
Before you buy
A ticket for KTEL Rodou is not valid on Δ.Ε.Σ. ΡΟΔΑ, and there is no combined fare across the two. If you have changed networks — which usually means you have changed stands — you are buying again.
27 one-way fares, each transcribed from the operator's own timetable for that stop. Prices are per journey in one direction; KTEL do not sell a return, a day ticket or a carnet on any corridor.

Where these fares come from, and the trap in them
All of them are read off KTEL Rodou's own timetables — the master timetable stamped 6/7/2026 to 10/9/2026, plus the per-stop departure boards for the stops it does not price. They were reconciled against those documents on 18 August 2026.
Here is the part worth knowing before you rely on a fare you read anywhere, including here. KTEL raise fares part-way through an edition without changing the validity window printed on the page. Two copies of this same 6 July–10 September timetable exist with identical departure times and different prices: the earlier one puts Lindos at €5.50, the current one at €6.00. Ten fares moved between them and the printed dates never changed. So the window is not a freshness signal, and a fare quoted on a travel site "for summer 2026" may be a revision or two behind. The figures above are the 17 August 2026 revision, which is the copy the operator is serving today.
On board it is cash only. The operator's own services page says so in as many words: "Cash payment only on bus or e-ticket from your computer or mobile phone." Bring small notes.
There is no fare column in this section, and that is a decision rather than an oversight. The timetables are current and we publish them in full; the prices are not, and we will not guess at them. Here is what happened.
Why we will not print a RODA fare
The operator no longer has a website. Δ.Ε.Σ. ΡΟΔΑ published fares at rodospublictransport.gr until at least September 2025; the domain has since been let go and now serves an unrelated business, and the older desroda.gr address now serves a casino affiliate page. The last fare table anyone can point at is an archived capture of a site the operator does not control any more.
The organisation behind the buses also changed. Greek local-government reform dissolved the municipal transport enterprise, and a 2026 law recognises the Municipality of Rhodes itself as the operator in its place. Two fare instruments have landed since that 2025 table: a national decision setting zone fares before VAT for the Rhodes urban area, and a joint ministerial decision that will set the lines, the fleet and the fares — which has not been issued yet.
We could take the pre-VAT zone figure, add VAT, apply the published rounding rule and print a number. It would look authoritative and it would be our arithmetic rather than anybody's published price, on a network whose fares are actively being redecided. So the honest answer is the one below: ask at the machine or the kiosk, and carry cash.
What we can tell you is where these buses go and when, which is on the routes page in full. The corridors Δ.Ε.Σ. ΡΟΔΑ run are:

The east and south of the island: Faliraki, Archangelos, Lindos, Pefkos and the far south, plus a seasonal direct Airport–Faliraki line. It does not run the airport bus into Rhodes Town.
Sells online through its own ticketing site, and takes cash — cash only — at the door.
Rhodes Town, the whole west side of the island including the airport and Butterfly Valley, and one east-coast line to Kallithea and Faliraki. Much larger than the "city buses" it is usually mistaken for.
Publishes no working online channel. Buy at the New Market machines, at a kiosk, or at the stand.
No, and this is the mistake that costs people money. KTEL Rodou and Δ.Ε.Σ. ΡΟΔΑ are separate organisations running separate networks. A ticket bought for one is not valid on the other, and there is no combined pass across the two.
Yes, in cash. KTEL Rodou state it plainly on their own services page: "Cash payment only on bus or e-ticket from your computer or mobile phone." So it is notes and coins at the door, or an e-ticket bought before you travel — a card at the door is not an option they offer.
Not established. Whether tickets can be bought on board, and whether cards are accepted, is not stated on any current publication we can reach — the operator no longer has a website of its own. What the last published outlet list showed was vending machines at the New Market stand and at the central stops in Ixia, Ialysos and Kremasti, plus kiosks and mini-markets across town. Carry cash and buy before you board.
KTEL publish none: every fare on every one of their timetables is labelled one way, and there is no carnet, return or day product anywhere on their site. On the RODA side the national fare framework provides for a monthly unlimited card, and a "Rhodes Bus Card" smart card was advertised, but no price for either was ever published. The 1-day and 3-day passes quoted on travel sites are not confirmed by any operator or government document, so we do not repeat them.
KTEL publish a 25% discount for students and uniformed personnel, and 50% for people with special needs and for large families. On the RODA side the statutory fare table sets reduced rates for pupils, students and large families. Neither publishes a child, senior or resident concession, and the ministerial decision that will set exemptions for vulnerable groups on the RODA network has not been issued yet.
KTEL publish no luggage charge and no weight or size limit — only that the coaches have a hold and you can use it. The national framework does set a charge for luggage over 10 kg on intercity services, calculated per kilogram per kilometre, but no operator-specific rule for Rhodes has been published.
Only one of the two operators sells online at all: KTEL Rodou link their own e-ticketing site from every page. Δ.Ε.Σ. ΡΟΔΑ publish no working online channel. Whether advance purchase is worth it depends on the corridor — on Prasonisi, Seven Springs or Stegna, where there are one or two buses a day, it removes one thing that can go wrong.
